Privacy Policy
How GBPM Consulting handles personal information on this website, when you contact us, and in our apps.
Who we are
GBPM Consulting (“we”, “us”) provides charity governance consulting and develops apps for Apple devices. We are the controller of personal information we collect as described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@gbpmconsulting.uk.
This website
This website does not ask you to create an account and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website host may record standard technical information (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) in server logs to keep the site secure and working. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include. We use this only to reply to you and, if you become a client, to provide our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with them, and client records for as long as required for our services and legal, tax and accounting obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
Contact Extras app
Contact Extras is designed so that we never see your data.
- Your contacts: with your permission, the app reads and can update the contacts on your device so you can view and edit them. Your contacts are not sent to us.
- Your extra information (tags, notes, custom fields, photos and files) is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account so it can sync between your devices. It is not sent to us or to any other third party, and we cannot access it.
- Contact links: to recognise the same person on all your devices, the app adds a small “Contact Extras” link to the contacts you add information to. This link contains only a random identifier.
- Photos and files you add are copied into the app’s storage on your device and in your iCloud account.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking: the app does not collect usage data, does not contain advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.
You can delete the app’s data at any time by removing it within the app, deleting the app, or deleting the “Contact Extras” folder in iCloud Drive. Contacts permissions can be changed in your device’s Settings.
iCloud is provided by Apple, and Apple’s privacy policy applies to information stored in your iCloud account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To make a request, email info@gbpmconsulting.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Our services and apps are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
